Bruce Potter Visit.

On Friday Bruce Potter visited he is a great drawer. He loves to doodle with his drawing. when he was here he made a really weird and good doodle if you don't know what a doodle is. It is a drawing that you just play with and it does not matter it look like. Oh and he makes books one of his books are doodlebug.

This is my Term 3 Goals of the Week.

Every monday we do a goal of the week and are teacher picks a quote. First we talk about on the mat as a whole class room and sometimes we go into groups. After we we write that we are doing in the week and what the quote reflects on and what you aim to do

should matariki be a holiday

Critical Thinking Questions:

• Why is Matariki particularly important for our NZ Nation? Because the moai love to salprat it.
• Should we all celebrate, just those who choose to, or just Maori people? Just those who choose to because all people meant not what to salaprayt it.
• How long has Matariki been celebrated for? From 2009 25th June

Practical thinking Questions:

• Go back and look at your calendar/camera roll and see what you were doing on 15th June last year. Were you celebrating Matariki? Either way, make sure to book it in for this year. I don’t think so.
• Think of an awesome way Matariki could be celebrated at school? So kids can learn about it and have a fun day of matariki.Because we are still young and when we get older we can know about it.

• Do you think we should have a public holiday for Matariki? No If so, get out there and write a letter/give a call to your Local MP explaining why! Dear sir madam, I am writing to you about why we should  have matariki. we should have matariki because the kids at schools have a better understanding about matariki. And that kid can have a brack of their old work and do some fun activities. I think that you should have a holiday to spend time with family and friends.so we should have matariki

Rose is a pisces star

my class and i have been to the museum and we have been researching about the stars. we went in to a starlab and  we saw lots of different constellations in the sky. there was so much different constellation in the sky it was so cool. after weeks we started to do the  backgrounds of our 
and we made our backgrounds out of paint we were going the make one out of diy but paint was a better idair  so after we did the backgrounds we did the star some of the star were smell and some of them were big. then we had to do are star sign my one was a fish so we did the star sign first and then we drawed are the animal after we it that we put the name of your star sign at the poten and then it is dune. I liked making the backgrounds.

my class and i have been making miny plays and the story was about hilda and the brooch. first we it this thing and so one was the mimer and then every other person got one two or three sentences then the teacher said some quiches and when you think it is about your sentes you stand up and you say your line. Then we started are miny plays about huias and hilda.

Did the film communicate the script?

yes kind of.

What could you shoot differently?

when bella went on the walk and she went past the shop where i was hiding.
What would make your film more understandable?
Duke of york and add a little bit more about the the brooch and say some more faces.

What would give your film more emotional impact?
sad music.

Eeling Dissection

on the 13th of march my classroom dissection eel for the first time we that a prates on sheep heart. there were a little different because the eel had more bode barte then the sheep heart.

we dissection eel because we when on camp and we all ways do something very fun each year. last year we got into group and billed rufse by stuff for home. this year we build henace a eel trap is another word for henukey.

i learn that eels have one long bone in there middle of there bode. and the gsp line is a very  small thing on there bode.

i enjoyed that we said a karakia to say goodby to the eel and say thank you for the eels.

2019 leadership camp at wa

Makaraka school in gisborne has just been to whangara on their annual leadership camp. The senior year 5 and 6’s went on the 20th of February and returned on the 22nd while they were there they did many Activity. The one that was the blast was kayaking.

The children slowly walk in the blazing hot sun up and over the hill. The kids where Exhausted they got there and the children raced down the hill and grabbed a kayak and hopt in the water. After a wait there were some accident but they were ok there was a really bad think that happened Mr Swan the principal of the school lost his phone in the river that is a disaster for him. The principal got his snorkel and began the search.

Some of the kids think it was odd that the principal was snorkeling in the river so a boy called max siad what are you doing the principal said am snorkeling because i lost my phone when i was kayaking  because i tept. Max said he will help him find it. So he porod someones goges and began searching. They were bobbing up and down like ducks the kids said and so funny.

Sadly they had don’t found the prisebles phone yet they were so desperate to find it. Some people where getting clod and proney there were existed and even some were getting bored. They where just about to give up when max said he felt something with his foot and he pulled it up and it was the prisbills phone!!! Yayy shoulded averbode.

Sadly it was time the go the kid were tired and exhausted and hungry. The kids slow walked home sadly gazing down at the river bowl as they drained leg walked home. They said it was a lot of fun.
